Such a strange concept this is. We all want ,desire, and feel we need it to survive. Yet tell me..can you explain it in its entirety.. Yea me either. </3

So I’m at the most perfect New York cafe’ and in total Bliss, but my life as an “artist, singer, creative being, etc” has been so UNINSPIRED lately. I just couldn’t really put my finger on it until now. I’m sure you all have felt this feeling at one point or another. It’s like the creative part of me couldn’t express itself because the forsaken demon “routine” began taking over my life.”Wake up,eat, sleep, wake up,eat, sleep” you get the point. Anyway, I came across this AMAZING quote from Martha Graham today, and it put everything into perspective for me. Not to mention gave me such an essence of life and self. I was able to relate and put into words things I’ve felt for the longest time, but was unable to reveal to myself due to lack of insight. So here this woman I’ve never met was able to put my 2009 “creative life’s” problems oh so eloquently in a quote that I now live by. So with that being said I hope that all artists (IN ANY FORM) , uninspired artists, creators,or just wanting to be passionate about life finds this quote helpful. It really helped me today,in this small cafe. =) enjoy

“There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium; and be lost.
The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, not how it compares with other expression.
It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.
You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work.
You have to keep open and aware directly to urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open.
No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others.”-Martha Graham
